They don't look like Dynaudio drivers (the dust covers on their woofers are very recognizable)... Anyway, with wide dispersion drivers, door mounted speakers can still achieve excellent imaging. Fine examples of wide dispersion drivers are Scanspeak woofer and tweeters, Morel tweeters and Focal woofer (I do not like the off-axis response of Focal tweeters). On my old 92NA (sold), I used the Scanspeak 7" kevlar woofer with a Morel soft-dome tweeter, first order crossover at 2kHz which achieves good flat off-axis frequency response upto ~18kHz, with audible bass response down to about 30Hz (-3dB around 50-80Hz). Speaker cables were Goertz MI1 (a real PITA to terminate). The setup had excellent dynamics, very transparent, smooth non-fatiguing high frequency response. No phase cancellation off-axis typical of higher order crossovers. I believe a true audiophile system is possible in the Z with carefully selected drivers and a coherent design.
